I’m teaching comics and manga at a summer camp starting next week!  Buying screen tones for my students made me feel extremely nostalgic.  I’ve been thinking about Sailor Moon all day.  I can’t believe it’s been 20 years!!  I got into it in 1995 when it first aired in the US.  I was 10 years old.  That was the year that I decided I wanted to be a cartoonist when I grew up.  I’m 27 years old now.  I have a degree in cartooning, I’m teaching comics to the next generation, and I’m in the middle of crafting my first graphic novel.  I’m tearing up as I write this.  I’m so happy that I never gave up on my childhood dream.  There’s nothing more satisfying than knowing that my 10 year old self would be proud of me.
